Xbox one x spins the disc all the time

I’m having the same problem, the disc literally says it’s multi system playable, it says series x/s and Xbox one on it, my disc spins a few times then stops, Xbox doesn’t do anything. No error message or anything

I just hold on to the disc and make the Xbox one pull it in.. Works every time, but if I don't it will not spin up or read disc

My problem is very similar.

Sometimes certain Bluray movies work every time, but then other times a different movie is inserted, and you can't hear the drive start to spin, and I get "no disc." I can take the disc out, reinsert it and usually 2-3x of this method and the drive will
spin and it'll work. But last night no matter what I did with The Amazing Spider-Man Bluray disc (reinserted it about 25x) it would not spin and I kept getting "no disc." Also, a few times the Bluray drive sort of "honked" like it was thinking about spinning,
but it just never did.

This never happens with game discs as all my Xbox One games work fine.

Does this mean my drive is going bad, or is it just certain movies that will be updated with the April bug fix? I hate to have to replace my whole Xbox One console for this if I don't have to.

It's ok I did not know the beta was over. I do apologize. I believe it may have something to do with the system software somehow, but I had the same thing happen a while back with the Gears of War 3 Beta and the older dash. If I had a game in the drive and
launched the beta my Disk Drive would spin up. Not too sure why, but if I ejected the tray I would be sent back to the dash. All I can say is to remove any disks before launching an app. That should keep the disk drive from spinning up. I'm sorry for any
confusion or frustration, but even sending in your console for repair wont help as you have two consoles doing the same thing and it seems to have something to do with software, and will have to be addressed in a future update. Please let us know if you have

Hi there. Clearly I have not divulged any information about the beta other than I was part of it so no NDA has been breached. I have posted in the corresponding beta forum with no response and as stated above the issue has been happening "for some time now"
and not just during the beta period.

I did not mention in my original post that my wife also has an Xbox 360 in the next room and she is having the same issue's as me on the current dashboard build.
