    Xbox one X sound intermittently cutting out


    Hey all, my sound suddenly started cutting out across the entire system today. All games, even the sounds when moving around the OS. I did a factory reset, swapped HDMI cables, sat on the phone forever with support trying to find the problem. Finally I
    found it - I switched my resolution from 4k to 1080p and voila - sound is fine again. So there's a bug in the 4k driver somewhere. The weirdest part is I've been running it in 4k for weeks since I got it and suddenly today it just freaked out. Hopefully this
    post saves someone else 2 hours of their time debugging.

    Hey YoungShatner,

    Are you by any chance enrolled in the Xbox Insider program?

    As of currently, for Preview Build 1811, there is a known issue with audio where audio cuts in and out. This is of course currently being resolved before the next update!

    However, if that is not the case, I would suggest you contact
    Xbox Support     for further technical assistance.

    This started happening to me today as well on the Xbox One X. Full restart of the system solve the issue... temporarily.

    Also check TV and see if there is any update for TV, then to test try a different HDMI PORT on TV, and test, see if any change.
