XBox One X somewhat frequent System Errors (E102; E101), not always resolving

We've had our XBox One X for about 1.5 years. It occasionally throws a System Error which in the past has been resolvable by Reset (usually keeping the accounts). Just recently there was an E102 error that did not resolve via a normal Reset (either trying
to keep accounts & games, or erasing them all). I tried following the Reset using USB, which did not seem to work. However upon subsequently restarting the machine it started OK, got to the point where it installed the language pack, restarted and then threw
    an E105 error.

Upon a subsequent restart the process completed and I'm currently reinstalling all the games.

I would say that in the last 6 months I've had to reset the console 4 times (this time being the most troublesome). Is this likely to be reflective of some sort of underlying hardware issue? It's not normal surely?

    :)

Thanks. The E105 error only manifested itself once, this time after trying to resolve the E102 error so perhaps it was a temproary network issue. It's WiFi & not really easy to get a cable connection to it due to the position of the router & the TV.

The suggestion that E102 is hardware related is concerning. It is still in warranty so maybe it's worth sending it to be looked at.

    Hello CC,

Thanks for coming to the forums. Since it has been a major issue, not even working after the

    offline update
until power cycling it a few times. Its most likely the hardware could be failing. This is not a normal issue but there have been some that fail. Which is most likely the hard drive. You can go to

    device support
to see if still in warranty if you got Microsoft complete. You can also set up a repair there.

    Thanks,

    Brad

A E102 error generally means a hardware failure, but E105, in my experience, is network related.

How old is your network hardware, gateway/router/modem?

Are you using wired ethernet cable or WiFi to connect your console to network hardware?

If your using WiFi, try the cable method as you may be getting signal interference.

E105 error code lookup has further steps to take.
