    Xbox One X Slow Download Speeds (Wired and Wireless) Compared to Another Xbox


    Hello everyone,

    I have been having slow download speeds on my xbox one x for awhile now, and it is getting even more frustrating now. I have another xbox, a one s, and it downloads so much faster. My internet download speeds when running tests on my main one x is 200+ mbps.
    It is also wired. It sits right next to the router as well and has a 4 foot ethernet cable. My sons xbox, the one s, is in a different room and is wireless. The one s downloads, for example, an update for Warzone at about 100mbps, while my wired one x gets
    jumpy speeds ranging from 500kbps to 100mbps, but unfortunately mainly stays below 10mbps. I've literally done evrything, from restarting, trying wireless, everything.

    Any tips I have not tried would be amazing because updates take way too long.

    I run an arris modem with the netgear xr500 nighthawk router.

    Troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection     .When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

    Please try the following steps:

    Go to settings >> network >> network settings >> advanced settings >> Alternate MAC Address >> Clear.

    Yea wifi for even my xbox one x always downloads at a fraction of the speed as compared to when I have it hard wired. Maybe it's what others are saying that the servers are overloaded
