Xbox one X signal drop with Yamaha Reciever and HDR

After attempting the display test, we would like to confirm if the results will test true on another console to determine the root that may be causing the issue.

It seems that there is a transitioning causing the signal drop, we suggest attempting the display test on another console if another is available in the house hold, or if a friend would be willing to bring theirs over to test this out.

We understand that in the original post you mentioned that this occurs with all games and adjusting display settings, and clarified that this occurs with Red Dead Redemption 2.

We also suggest all connected devices to be powered down for 2 minutes as well as fully disconnected.

Hi Paul. I did the 4k display test, and everything showed green except dolby vision. The passthrough eventually works, but my receiver drops the signal for a couple of minutes, for example if I go to the main menu from RDR2.

That does not resolve my problem because it works, but it seems to drop and then takes time to reconnect when the resolution changes to or from HDR.
