Xbox One X shutting itself off not even 2 years old, microsoft wants 250 to repair lol

i just got the new x box 360 250 GB slim and tried to download the update over and over, did not work, followed all the steps to do it manually.... did not work, i am returning my x box i just got it 2 days ago and i cant even go on live. my old 60GB HDD
worked fine, has the new update and everything having no problems with it at all and the thing is over 4 years old, you would think the new x box would be better lol

on xbox.com it works fine, so the problem isnt the account itself. Tried using my neighbour's wifi and didnt work either. Called a game store and the guy said maybe its a hardrive problem, but my xbox one x isnt even 2 years old, and everything was working
fine, including updates.

Please Microsoft, internet people, anyone, help me

As far as I am concerned all that really needs to happen is for an Optical drive manufacturer to do a quality direct replacement Optical drive. Heck, i'd even settle for a chinese knock off.

I had the same problem, my console is 2 years old now, had it repaired and that seemed to slow how often it occurs but on the odd occasion it still shuts off and resets. Seems to be like an old car and needs a bit of a warm up to get going. Very frustrating.
