Discus and support Xbox One X Shutdown Issue Help Needed in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Evening all. Very frustrated here. Just bought the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition Xbox One X console.     Xbox One X Shutdown Issue Help Needed


    Evening all.

    Very frustrated here. Just bought the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition Xbox One X console. Turned on console, updated, signed in all good. Controller working fine. Started off some games downloading. Turned console off with pad. Console shutdown. Pad stayed
    on. Had to turn console back on with button. Controller connected fine. Tried again and console turned off but pad remained powered on. Held power button down on pad to switch off. When i powered the pad back on the console would not turn on. Powered console
    on with button and controller paired again and worked fine. Any ideas how to fix?

    Doesn't do anything...

    A Hard boot and Shutdown of the Xbox One can take a while, This explains the slow boot and shutdown.

    In regards to the sluggishness etc. Could this be caused by your monitor not being powerful enough for your X-Box One Console? I have had issues with my old monitor in the past when trying to use an old/less powerful monitor with a newer/more powerful Desktop
    PC, This could be a similar issue?

    Maybe try your Xbox on another TV and see if the issue is the same?

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. Sorry to hear that your new console is acting a bit odd. Its possible that something may have happened when you updated the console initially. You may wish to try a soft factory reset to the console so that
    the update will download again. Just choose the option that allows you to reset and keep your games and apps.

    1. Press the Xbox button
      to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select System.
    5. Select Console info.
    6. Select Reset console.
    7. Select Reset and keep my games & apps.
    Alternatively, if the console continues to give you problems, since you just purchased it, you can always return it to the point of sale and trade it out for a different one.

    I hope that this helps out and please let us know the results.

    All discs not working on Xbox One

    I've had recent issues with noise and disc drive not being recognised on my Xbox Series X and the only way I found to stop this issue is to do a Full shutdown of the console and restart.

    Settings>System>General>Power...>Full shutdown.

    Its worthwhile removing power cable from console for a few minutes after you shutdown before you restart.

    Also, eject the disc before you shutdown.

    My Xbox One has stopped reading DVD

    I've had recent issues with noise and disc drive not being recognised on my Xbox Series X and the only way I found to stop this issue is to do a Full shutdown of the console and restart.

    Settings>System>General>Power...>Full shutdown.

    Its worthwhile removing power cable from console for a few minutes after you shutdown before you restart.
