Xbox One X Severe Lag During Online Gameplay

Hi all, I hope everyone is staying safe. I just purchased an Xbox One X and I also just got a few games (Black Ops 3 and Fifa 20). As I am playing both games online, I am experiencing severe lag in the gameplay. I have reset the console
and have read all of Microsoft's articles about troubleshooting network issues. Nothing seems to help the issue of lag. I Googled the issue and noticed other people who have also purchased an Xbox One X experienced this issue as well. They said that it has
something to do with the wireless adapter in the console. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this issue.

any ethernet cable will do, cat5 upwards, do a speed test of your network from the settings menu, most likely your net being sluggish or bad wifi signal.

I have not tried using an ethernet cord but I've been researching which one would be best for this console. Do you have any recommendations?

Have you tried hard wiring it to the router. just to check?

might help rule out many possibilities.

Try some other games as well. If the problem is with these two only then it could have a connection with EA or Activision servers problems. If every game has a same problem than follow suggested solutions.
