Xbox one x self scrolling

    Xbox one x self scrolling


    The xbox dadhboard keeps scrolling to the right. As soon as i turn it on it does this. Even when im in settings it does this. There will be times when I cant even get it to scroll left at all. And when i can it goes back over to the right. It does this
    with my controller as well as a new controller out of the box. I have reset the console 3 times. Taken the batteries out of the controllers (though I dont think its an issue with the controllers). I have unplugged it and made sure it wasnt dusty. It worked
    fine till 3 days ago. I noticed this after i installed the new tomb raider, though I dont think that is related either. I just want to play my games. Please help

    Xbox controller keeps scrolling right by it self

    My xbox one elite controller has been scrolling right by itself and i have no idea why first my interent wouldnt conect then when i go to sign in it would spam A and Y by itself and now this is happening i dont know why ive tried restarting my xbox taking
    the batteries out. There are also no buttons stuck . Also if i press Lb it would immediatley go back to the right and my joysticks dont do anything when this glitch is happening please help me

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like your controller is currently having an issue with the thumbstick drifting. I was able to find an article that should help you

    Xbox one x self scrolling

    Hey iSteal,

    Thank you for letting us know about this, just to clarify, does the console continue to scroll with no controllers connected?

    To further troubleshoot this I recommend attempting a soft factory reset using the following steps:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
      EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button on the console.
    4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
    7. Select Reset this Xbox
    8. Choose to Reset this Xbox and keep my games & apps
    The menu that you will be brought to will only accept input from the D-Pad, so this should prevent the constant scrolling.

    And for the cost you are better off buying a xbox one s used even cause it doesn't need a power brick trust me I traded in my original for a xbox one s before I upgraded ro the xbox one x and the series x

    This way the Xbox is getting up to handle the new addon for Xbox One and XBox series X.

    You can change the menu layout.

    Push the big middle X logo on controller,

    Scroll to your profile &System

    Scroll down to Customized Guide Tabs (right above settings)

    this way you can change it the way you want it to be.
