    Xbox one x seems fried.


    Xbox one x seems fried. I’ve tried 3 factory resets wiping all of the data on the Xbox however no luck. My Xbox has a problem when turning on the console gets switched from a 30 second task to a 5 min task where it takes 2 min of black screen then the system registers that it’s turning on. Then I can’t even sign in to a profile on my console, I’ll get a loading wheel that doesn’t end until I factory reset my console again completely making me have to redownload evwrtbing. I guess I should get an external at this point. I’m assuming it’s some sort of hard wear defect that’s causing it. It might be a dust build up as well in the internals causing it to move super sluggish. If you have any ideas please let me know

    It's no longer normal to be honest. If it's continue to happen, it would be best to request for a service while it's still under warranty. I totally understand that you are having issues with the console. No worries, I have here the link to request a service for your console, make sure to register it first:

    My xbox one x has been acting funny since playing modern warfare as well. Constant crashes, shows no games, sound cutting out, laggy operating system. Worried it fried the internal components.

    Can you try these things? I can't believe that it is 'fried' as you put it:

    1) Unplug the Ethernet cable

    2) Do a full power down, unplug the power cable from the console and the wall outlet for around 10-30 seconds and then plug everything back in (preferably the cable to the console first then to the wall outlet)

    3) Plug the Ethernet cable back in

    4) Boot the console

    5) Check your Network settings again / test Internet connection

    Hi there!

    Sorry you're having issues with your network adapter. Does the X work on wireless still? Can you plug a laptop or another device into the Ethernet cable to ensure it's working with that, and not a closed port or bad cable? If you find it's working with a
    laptop or other wired network device using the same cable and port, I would suggest unplugging your Xbox One X from the wall, power cycling your router and/or switch, then powering the One X back up. Sometimes routers and switches shut off ports if it detects
    a network storm or collision, and it could temporarily block a MAC.

    Sadly it seems like it may have fried your console.

    You can still recover the data from it I believe tho if you get a new one.
