Xbox One X Scorpio Edition Overheated on few games

Hi

I have bought A Knight's Quest and Post War Dreams, when I play them on my console the fan spins fast and the console sounds like vacuum cleaner, after a while the console turns it off. When I start it up its says it have been overheated, but the console is
not warm at all. On A Knight's Quest when running in the water the fan makes mostly noises. On Post War Dreams the fan spins fast on level 1, but when I got to level 2 the fan spins normally.

I can play other games without any issues like The Division 1 and 2. Forza Horizon 3 and 4, GTA V, Assasins Creed etc for several hours without getting overheated.

But the 2 basic games A Knight's Quest and Post War Dreams makes my Xbox One X sounds like vacuum cleaner, so are those game badly programmed and something in the code trigger it or is it my Xbox One X br****ay the other games either or?.

A friend of my have tried A Knight's Quest on his Xbox One X Scorpio Edition and this game makes his Xbox One X sounds like a vacuum cleaner too, so for me it sounds that those games are badly programmed and something in the code trigger this issue on some

I saw the thread about Ace Combat 7 that their console got overheated when the plane crashed into the sea, what I noticed a user got reply from the developer that a bug caused this issue. So maybe its a bug as well for A Knight's Quest and Post War Dreams that
makes the Xbox One X sounds like a vacuum cleaner?

My warranty for my Xbox One X ends 23 January, s****r or not, as other games work with out any issues.

I'm having the same issue ... my fan at times sounds like it's a fighter jet trying to take off ... my Consol can work for a day or two then it dies .

It's in a well ventilated area nothing around it the fans look clean too. Having a look around it seems to be a known fault with them.

My warranty has run out however as it seems to be a known fault with many people experiencing it I'm sure microsoft wouldnt knowingly sell a faulty device or one that was only ment to last soo many hrs of play. So hopefully I can get it fixed .

Although COVID lockdown .. not the best time to have it die

Yerp, better off creating awareness and share this with the dev's.

You can always try getting a can of air just in case but it's best to get the exact scene that cuts off at and get a video to share.

I had my Scorpio shut off playing Destiny 2 a few times, then the overheating message on next boot up. It has never done this with any other game after hours of use and long single sessions, not even games that push the cooling.

I looked into it a bit and there seems to be some Scorpios out there with poorly applied thermal paste, so the CPU isn't dissipating its heat as well as it could be, so the shut down happens to protect the console. You can rectify this yourself by stripping
down the console, cleaning off the old paste and applying new paste. Not to be done in warranty, as opening the console will void it, and you do this at your own risk.
