Xbox one X saved games location - turn the cloud synch on

Hi, I was offline and I tried to play city skylines, I somehow allow local save, now that I am back online I cannot retrieve what I've saved on the cloud. is there a way to get the save games from the cloud instead of local? I cannot find anything in the
settings. if anyone had similar issues let me know, thanks

Losing saved game data

My understanding is your progress is always saved to the Cloud. When you relaunch the game there is a point in the beginning of the game loading up where the XBox One is synching with the cloud. I have noticed on a couple of games that if you try and start
the game too soon it will not synch and you could lose progress. I always wait for the cloud synch before starting my game session. If you get a synch error I would suggest quitting the game and hard reset your XBox One. I keep my XBox One in power saving
mode which seems to be the safest way to keep your XBox One in a good state. It will take the XBox One longer to boot up in power save mode though.

Hi,

If you already played online with your offline save game, its too late…. cause your Xbox x sync all datas at the game's connexion.

The best way to keep the online saves games is > delete the saves games ( highlight game , press menu button, select manage, delete save game) before make the connexion, like this the console will download the last online save game.

with the xbox one all game saves are loaded to the cloud through your account even if you don't have xbox live gold so when you download your profile to any xbox including if you get the new xbox one x then any digital games you own will show up and game
saves will be synched with the cloud game saves when you start up the game.

Thanks for the reply. Xbox has told that they do have known issues with Starfield and their cloud based save system. I have synched the game repeatedly and have performed local saves and the game even shows when it's auto saving. But if for some reason the game gets "out of cloud synch" all of these saves, local or auto, are lost because the game actually didn't save because of the cloud synch issue
