Xbox One X running slow.

Basically I moved my Xbox from one tv to another and when I started it back up, it was EXTREMELY SLOW. The side menu wouldn’t load any of the icons such as YouTube, any of the recent games I’ve played and so on. My friends list would show. None of the icons would show on the Home Screen. After a few minutes it would kick in but YouTube would load up super slow and it won’t allow me to sign in it freezes to where I just restart YouTube. Microsoft edge also won’t work at all it just freezes. NOW, I was searching for online sites to watch a specific movie on and one of those “click me to prove you’re human/not a robot” things and I started getting notifications popping up on my Xbox saying it had a virus or malware? I reset my Xbox wiped my accounts but before that I reset Microsoft edge. And nothing has helped not a hard reset, soft factory reset… nothing. I’d love to use edge again as I use it to watch sports games since the day I got it and had no problems.

Please HELP. Games seem to work fine parties work fine. But I cannot sign into YouTube or use edge. It will also freeze when I use Disney+. To where I have to restart my Xbox. I recently installed Disney+ app, NHL22, far cry 6, open wild (now deleted), and back 4 blood. and this stuff started happening.

(Also I researched and people keep saying you can’t get viruses or malware on Xbox? Unsure how true that is but that happened before I installed all these games and the Disney app.)

Nothing is plugged into it. I do not use an external HD.

If you are using an external storage unplugged it, then try a factory reset deleting all content and check if this solve the issue without plugging the external storage again please

Your drive will work the same on Series X as it does on Xbox One and you won't need to format it.

However, Series X games or Xbox One games with Series X enhancements will not run from that drive and will either need to be installed internally or to an external SSD designed for Series X/S.

Your hard drive will be too slow for Series X games. They can be stored there, but not run from there.

My problem is that the game is really slow and that's why it's not fun at all, but I remember that the game was smoother on the ps4 version. It seems that ray tracing is active in the game and that's why the game runs slowly, but there is no such option in the settings.

Not sure where you've got that information from. There is no Ray Tracing in RDR2, it's not been optimised for Series X|S either. It was only developed to take advantage of the now older Xbox One X. The Series X runs the One X version of the game, but it's still only 30fps though.

If you've been playing lots of smooth 60fps games and then load up RDR2 it's bound to feel slow in comparison.
