Xbox One X Rubber Banding Issue

Let me start from the beginning, I bought the original Xbox One back in Christmas of 2013. Worked like a charm, never had a problem with it. Fast forward to early 2018 I bought a Xbox One X, because I upgraded to a 4K HDR10 ready TV so I wanted to have the
best gaming experience. Well, at this time my Xbox One X plays games wonderfully, online well this is where the trouble starts. So when I first got it, I didn't get around to playing online games. Then about a couple of weeks ago, I tried playing games on
Xbox Live and while the first 10 - 20 minutes was great, the game would stutter pretty badly for a second, then constant rubber banding would happen. I tried playing different games with the same result, I tried restarting my router, modem, and Xbox One X
countless amount of times. Yet nothing has worked, now before you guys start saying it's my internet causing the issue. I can do everything else just fine on the Xbox Live services and streaming videos from YouTube, Netflix, ect. doesn't have issues, only
when playing on Xbox Live. Well, considering this never happened on my original Xbox One and never happens on my computer when I'm gaming. This seems exclusive to the Xbox One X, yet I can't return it to GameStop because its been more that 15 or whatever days
for their return policy. Anyway, I am stumped, I don't know whether to send it Microsoft for a potential repair process that might not alleviate the issue or what. I would like to know if other people has experienced this issue with their Xbox One X (Scorpio
or non-Scorpio) consoles. My internet gets 133.64 Mbps down, 5.92 Mbps up, 41 ms latency, and 0% packet loss when I run the detailed network statistics on the console. Please, someone whether it's another forum member or a Microsoft rep, please help with this
issue. I am sorta sad I paid $500 for a console that I can't enjoy Xbox Live gaming with. Thanks for reading this and I am looking forward to hearing other people's responses. Cheers!

    :)

  2. BF4 Fixed at last?

The game is better, but I still get rubber banding even on TDM. This game is far from fixed. Rubber banding is just one of many, many problems with BF4.

  3. Possible lag switch or just the texas two step.

Sounds like extreme lag or "rubber banding"

Xbox One X Rubber Banding Issue

Update: So earlier today I was on the phone with a Microsoft Technician for about an hour and a half, we (the technician and I) pin pointed that one issue with my Xbox One X is peer to peer connection when playing games like Halo 5, CoD WW2 (aka most shooters
on the Xbox One X). Now I did try out using a different band on our wifi network (2.4 Ghz versus 5 Ghz) and the rubber banding continued, I am really disappointed with my Xbox One X at the moment, I am hoping that Microsoft will fix this issue, because this
is a fairly common issue after reading many threads online with very similar problems with the Xbox One X. This is obviously a some what of a common issue and I'm not sure with what to do. At this point, I'm regretting my $500 online-brick I purchased and
can't exchange (for a replacement console) or a refund... very disappointed. Granted, I am suspecting this is a hardware issue or software issue with the Xbox One X because like I mentioned earlier, I owned a Xbox One for many years and never had this issue.
Now my new console is being a pain in the behind... very disappointed...

The Xbox will use whatever connection is provided to it. The Xbox cannot improve the connection that it's getting from your router which is what manages and controls the data to a from the Xbox. If this were a specific Xbox issue, there'd be more posts on
    this.

The best gaming experience will be with a wired connection, not wireless.

Here are some steps to try but you may need to see about resetting your router back to defaults or connecting the xbox directly to your modem with a wired connection.

Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

    Try out your games.

Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds. Then plug your router back in and try your game again.

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart?

    Try out your games again.

If that doesn't work, I'm guessing you're using a wireless connection to your router.

On your Xbox go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Forget Wireless Network

Go to Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual - Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

After the Xbox Restarts go back and reconnect to your Wireless Network and try your game again.

    Try out your games again.

If that fails, consider resetting your router back to defaults.

Does Xbox One X suffer from texture pop in when playing PUBG?

The X will load stuff much faster. I have played on both. On the S (better than the OG) it takes much longer to load building and assets.

The rubber banding is just as bad and worse for us after the last update. I have checked all internet related stuff so not that. It is just that the game has major issues currently. And some get them and some do not.

For example: I am on the X but the rubber band issue stuck me in place as I kept being put back in the same spot. Then a player grabs a melee and hits me. I did escape but the other players had already looted everything. And that put me at a huge disadvantage.
I finally found a pistol and then when I went to get a player from behind the rubber band issue hit again and I was shooting the wall. Player turns and kills me.
Thanks for the response. I think the rubber banding is an issue with the net code rather than a horse power issue with the consoles themselves. Even though the game has it's issues. I'm still enjoying the game for what it's worth.

    Rubber banding massively

My Xbox One X Wireless has always had bad rubber banding. Its so bad that i had to move it from my 4k TV to my computer desk and run it on my 17 inch monitor so I can keep it hard wired. Its definitely Xbox because i have no problems with my PS4. Ive tried
three different Xbones and they all had rubber banding.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but all we can do is hope the next gen console fixes this issue.
