    Xbox One X returned from official repair still broken.


    I sent off my Xbox One X for repair after it stopped turning on. It was returned with a note saying I had modified/altered or the wrong serial number and the warranty was invalidated, and there were no further details. I haven’t tampered with it. The tamper
    sticker was still on the xbox when i sent it off and when it was returned the screws for the body casing have been ruined. I’ve been an xbox gamer since 2005 and wouldn’t tamper with it. What can I do?

    My issue with the repairs is it seems to indicate they won't send you back a new console or your console for that matter. Probably a refurb..

    I'm sorry, but if my 1 day old console is broken, I want a brand new one in return, not another broken returned product that was repaired...

    I'm considering just plain returning.. if this is the kind of hardware we can expect from Microsoft

    I'm very dissapointed...

    Same, they always have a seal when they are returned from an official repairs centre. At least in my experience.

    Warranty for Xbox headset

    If it is an official Xbox One headset (Made by Microsoft), then log in on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices register it, and book it in for repair. As it is out of warranty, then you will be charged for the repair.

    If it is a 3rd party (Turtle Beach, Hyper X, etc, etc), then goto the 3rd party website and book a repair from them.

    as far as I know the standard warranty on an Xbox One X is 1 year from Microsoft (depending on the region/country it might be longer) so any repair and sending it in should be free (as long as the warranty seal on the console hasn't been broken) and you
    are in a official Xbox supported region.

    Regarding the issue, if you have tried any step available on
    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected     then there is no other option then setting up a repair request to have it fixed and sending it in.

    They only ask for $500 as a hold so they will send you the replacement console FIRST then you send your broken Xbox after. It's just a hold to be used as collateral in case you don't return your broken Xbox. You can still send yours in and they will repair
    that console and it won't place any hold on your credit card.
