    Xbox One X rarely resumes from suspend


    My Xbox One X does not resume the game from a suspend state if it is left for any real amount of time. I am using Instant On, and instant sign in. This is a launch One X which I bought to replace/upgrade my launch Xbox One. The original system did not
    have this problem, just the X. I was in the preview program and thought that might be affecting it, so backed out from Beta to Omega, and then unenrolled myself from any levels as that did nothing. This has been happening for at least a year, and I have gotten
    to the point of just being fed up with it so thought I would post. It does not happen every single time, but the majority. If I turn off the console and come back within a couple of hours, the chance of it being suspended is decently high, but if I go overnight,
    it is always a full load. Really frustrating with games like Forza Horizon 4 which takes like 5 minutes to get going in. I have an external hard drive that I have used on both consoles where i store all the games. It is a 2tb Seagate over usb 3, the same model
    as the Xbox branded one, but bought before that was released. I rarely use discs and tend to just buy everything digital, but have the same issue regardless. Any recommendations? Is this normal? As it was a launch unit, I am sure I am out of warranty and this
    seems like software, not hardware based. Should I do a full factory reset?

    Did you ever fix this? My One X is exactly the same. Having come from ps4 where it always works, its getting really annoying.
    This is areally old post.You should create a new thread for problem.

    I use Energy save mode in Power settings.

    I had the problem when i was in the preview program. I also backed out of it. Seeing how you have tried everything, I would do a factory reset but keep games and apps and see if that fixes it.

    System resume is not supposed to work while the console off. That's limited to changing between apps and games. For example, youre playing Red dead, and you switch over to youtube and then switch back to RdR. Its not meant to keep your game loaded overnight.
    If you open to many apps it will automatically close previous games or apps. Online games will automatically disconnect you as soon as your leave the game. Theyre only really meant to be suspended for a couple of hours without shutting off the console.

    Thanks, I have tried to clear the Persistent storage and Alternate MAC address. Still did not work. I am going to soft reset tonight and see if that works. I can then try a full factory reset as I use an external drive so it should not be too much of a
    pain. Will reply here with results. I take a day in between each thing to see if it resumes, so it takes a little while to test.
