Xbox One X randomly turning off

    Xbox One X randomly turning off


    So for some reason my brand new Xbox One X just randomly turns off then when I turn it back on its a cold reboot

    yeah that sounds like a possibility. I just returned it to amazon, done messing with it. I get that this kind of thing happens with new consoles but still, this is unacceptable

    Xbox One X randomly turning off

    Mine keeps randomly crashing and restarting when try playing games, literally a few mins in to any game it just restarts.

    Nice expensive bricks we’ve all bought

    I have had the same issue. Every time i try to load a game it starts the splash screen and then it turns off. and so much that i cannot use the controller to turn in back on.

    Hey there BlindLazyNinja and everyone else in the thread,

    Sorry to hear about your console shutting down randomly. Make sure your console is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector/power strip. The Xbox One X console has a built in surge protector, so if it's connected to another one, it's
    very possible that there could be a power issue going on. If that doesn't help, be sure to try the steps on our guide

    The problem is happening when I first start the xbox one x after it has been off overnight or during the day . I will play for a few hours, properly shut unit off and when I come back several hours later and turn it on from either the controller or the
    console, it comes on briefly and then shuts back off. when I press the button again, it starts and comes on as if the power had been disconnected (cold boot screen comes up if that is what it is called). It is not an overheat issue. My controller is plugged
    into the unit and has been also disconnecting. Not sure if either are related.

    Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite
