    Xbox One X randomly shuts down problem


    Hello everyone,

    Just the other day I was watching the WWE app. And then the one x just randomly shuts off and it did it twice the other day. My Xbox One X has plenty of Ventilation and there is nothing on it or near it that could be interfering with it. I am wondering if
    its the power cable or the built in psu that might be going bad. Prehaps? Any thoughts?

    Have you checked the cable and make sure they are nice and straight any bend in the power cable can cause this problem.

    Looks to be an issue with Borderlands GOTY only on the One X.

    I've been playing it on both my Original One and One X and it shuts down randomly only on the One X, with absolutely no issues on my original Xbox One. Others have the exact same issue over at the gearbox forums.

    Worst case scenario, the console will need to be repaired or replaced. If it gets to that point, the first thing to try is see if you can get it exchanged with the retailer you bought it from. Otherwise, you can start setting up a repair with Microsoft here:

    It doesn't shut down randomly, it just shut off one day & will not start again. Sorry about your policy, I thought this would be the place to find others, that have had a similar problem..

    Try a hard reset, hold the power button down for ten seconds or so. If that doesn't work call support.
