    Xbox One X randomly resets


    I’ve had my Xbox one X for over a year now, over the last three months it has been resetting itself every couple of days. What I mean by that is, I’ll play it like normal using it for games/TV and after three or four days I’ll turn it on and it’s back
    at the set up menu and all of my data has to be recovered. I’ve tried getting it fixed at a local store where they put in a new hard drive, I have tried fully factory resetting it, I have tried messing with the PowerSave settings, and I can’t figure it out.
    Anyone know why this could be happening?

    Borderlands Game of the Year Edition

    Looks to be an issue with Borderlands GOTY only on the One X.

    I've been playing it on both my Original One and One X and it shuts down randomly only on the One X, with absolutely no issues on my original Xbox One. Others have the exact same issue over at the gearbox forums.

    Note: This is a brand new xbox series x. I used it to play fortnite successfully for a couple days, and the problem started randomly while playing in a match.

    yeah I've tried several Xbox's now including my old Xbox one and two Xbox one x's, the issue has only happened on the Xbox one x's but I play on them most often so it's hard to tell yet whether its a problem with the regular Xbox one as well, I fresh installed
    Fortnite along with hard resetting my consoles, one of which is new and cant be suffering from dust etc, none of this helped and the issue is still intermittent along with this issue happening on no other game with either console ever before, very confusing,
    hope they fix it soon as this can't be healthy for our consoles having them randomly force shutdown.

    I can also say that both my X One S had issues and now my X One X blinks randomly as well. I’m using a 55’’ Visio E55-E1 and almost unplayable in 4K. 1080p is fine but I didn’t buy the One X for 1080P.

    I'm not sure about Borderlands 3, but the developer for Modern Warfare has already confirmed the issue with Xbox One X and the console randomly shutting off when playing that game and are reportedly working on a fix.
