Xbox One X randomly disconnects to a wired network

Have the same setup as my previous Xbox One, but in the last couple of months my Xbox One X randomly disconnects from Xbox Live, loses its network connection and requires a power down to get back, and even that doesn’t always happen. Appears like the network
card is faulty as nothing has changed and infact I swapped out the entire wired components inc new router...same issue.

Annoying as its random, fine all day one day...next day 10 times!

I have no special config and reset pretty much everything.

Xbox one x WiFi disconnects constantly

It's not just with the X. I have a One S and wifi just randomly disconnects and no other device on network has this problem. I have reported it many times but no update to fix it yet.

I've had three Xbox one X since launch, one had an CD drive issue, the next one would randomly disconnect from the internet, wired or wireless.

My latest one does not suffer from these issues but like many others with a quick Google search I suffer from random lag spikes while gaming online on a wireless connection. (No other option but wireless right now) this was also the case with BOTH previous
Xbox one x that I had returned, I was just able to plug them in hard wired.

I installed the latest patch that stated it was to improve WiFi stability on the Xbox one x but I've noticed no difference, it might even occur more often now.

Is this a network card issue with the Xbox one x that needs addressed? I don't think I should have to buy the power line 1000 network adapter to enjoy online gaming...... My original Xbox one didn't have this issue at all.

I've factory reset and I'm still currently having this issue, so I'm assuming it's driver or hardware at this point.

I've also opened the ports and DMZ'd my Xbox one x ip through my router.

try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading
screen when you power it back up.

Power cycle should fix but if that persist you should talk to support and see what options you got...ok

 

Thanks, its powered down every night but when it happens 8 times in an hour you know you have an issue.

Please try to reset the router and modem

1. Xbox >Settings

2. Network

3. Network settings

4. Go offline/ shut down console.

5. Turn off router and modem for 2 or 5mins (unplug power cable from devices)

6. Turn on devices and test all network connections.

(you can also test other ports on the router with a different Ethernet cable)

Port forward

(Either sign into your router and set up these ports or contact your internet provider)
