Xbox One X randomly disconnects all controllers during middle of game.

I recently bought an Xbox one X and just come across this issue. After turning on the xbox ( with controller) the xbox will disconnect from all controllers and not allow them to reconnect. Posting up the reconnect banner like it lost power or something.

I have to restart the xbox to sync the controllers back. This happens randomly at any point. I want to know if anyone else is having this problem, if its a bug in a update, the controllers? I just don't know.

Its still under the 30 days from purchase and would like to know if it would be worth it to return it, (already downloaded a bunch of games), or wait for an update? I don't know, please help with all of your opinions. Thanks

Problem with controller

Both of my controllers are also disconnecting randomly

FIFA is the main game affected suffered 10 disconnects in one half!

I do have my xbox in the next room so not sure what the range of the controllers are

 

Xbox keeps signing me out while playing fortnite .. error 0x87dd100a

seems to only happen when playing fortnite & I’m the only one of my friends who randomly gets signed out while in the middle of the game.. WiFi stays connected on all my other devices besides Xbox which disconnects for around 15 seconds randomly .

 

I don't get the same problem as you but kind of similar. My Xbox one X turns itself on randomly and also suggest stopped doing anything when the A button is pressed on the home screens. It recognizes that you pressed the button, it just doesn't do anything.
If you hold the button down it might recognize it eventually. It does this with every controller I have so it's not the controllers.

 

have same problem. The weirdest part is that same controllers work perfectly on an old Xbox One S. Already sent it for repair. Same issue upon arrival. There’s something wrong with the new Xbox One X controller firmware I think. Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged
it yet.

My 2 controllers disconnects randomly also, I think my problem is trying to use rechargeable batteries. I don't understand why I cant use brand new AA rechargeables but microsoft says you can use their rechargeable pack. Sometimes
I had to use the cable from controller to xbox for awhile to get it to work even after unplugging xbox for a bit.

 

I've been using rechargeable batteries for years and from my experience, the only trouble I've ever had with controllers disconnecting is when the batteries are very old and barely hold a charge anymore. The last set I had would only last about 2 hours before
starting to disconnect and died after about 3 hours of use. They were about 3 years old when they started doing this. Newer rechargeable batteries have never caused disconnect issues, at least for me.

Right now I'm using Duracells, 2500mah NIMH rechargeables. They're about a year old and still going strong. I'm on almost every night, at least 5 hours and they still go probably more than a week between charges... no disconnects.

 

I have a similar issue. I have the original one and it doesnt happen to that console at all. I will by playing and in the middle of the game usually when I'm about to get in a gun fight they just disconnect from the console and i have to press the button
to reconnect them. It is very annoying. Now out of nowhere it is giving me Network lag with play PUBG usually right before a gun fight and kick me from my party, also doesnt do it on the original xbox one. I still have it in my living room and I tried just
to make sure. I also thought the controller thing was the battery pack, i removed it put in AA batteries and although it did last longer without disconnect it still eventually did it. I'm pretty annoyed because the one x is a beast and I just want it to work
right. If I end up having to return it I will just ask for a refund as it is only two weeks old.

 

I just used regular copper top batteries for about 4 days, then when they went almost dead I installed my EBL brand 2800 mAh batteries right from the charger fully charged and within 30 minutes controller was disconnecting and I could play. This is with
the Project Scorpio. Must be the new xbox X needs more voltage than rechargeable can provide. Copper top volts was over 1.6, ebl2800 was 1.4 fully charged.

 

I have the same problem you are having with the controller. In fact it's happening right now, I had to take the batteries out of the Elite controller and use the standard controller. It only happens with the X console and when using
the Elite controller. If I use the Elite controller on my day one edition of the One it never happened. Xbox support has no answers except the usual nonsense, which does nothing for this problem.
