Xbox One X Random Shutdown

Good Morning,

I am having an issue with my one x which is shutting down during certain parts of games.

I've noticed this while playing Disneyland Adventures. I play a certain mission, when it comes to save, the xbox shuts down and progress is lost.

I tried resetting the console and re installing the game but that didn't work out.

I followed the thread(https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-gaming/5a6ba165-44d8-48e5-ab27-e6bb2d20f789) but nothing worked either.

This also happens on other games like Gears 4.

What I noticed is, that before this happens the fans are going at a very high speed so I'm not sure if this is related. I'm not very technical when it comes to consoles so I don't know where to look at.

Sometimes, I play for hours on other games without issues ex. Forza Horizon 4.

My console doesn't have any warranty.

Hello TommasoAufieri, when you said you redefined the console, did you choose the reset that keeps the games and Apps or deletes everything?

You also mentioned that his fan gets too high in certain situations, the console is in a well ventilated place, and if you have the One X for a long time from it it could be dirty inside, over time the accumulation of dust can hinder the performance of the console.

Hello again Tommas, even if your console has no warranty, the ideal for an internal cleaning would be to look for some technical assistance that would perform the service.

Of course if you search the internet you will find a series of videos on how to open your Xbox and do a cleanup.

And don't forget that for your console model, Microsoft provides paid repair service for out-of-warranty consoles.

Thank you for your reply.

I reseted it in a way that it deleted all the games and apps.

Its currently in the tv cabinet but its not closed so it has ventilation from the front. I also put 2 small pieces of plastic at the bottom so its elevated about 2cm from the cabinet. Could overheating be the issue? Maybe I can try opening the console and check out the inside of it..

As I stated in the original post, I have already tried all of the troubleshooting for this. It happens at very random times. I know it is not overheating because it has never been hot to the touch and after it turns off, it will run continuously afterward with no issue. I have tried using a surge protector and I currently have it plugged directly into the wall outlet. It is still a recurring issue.
