    Xbox One X PS died during power down?


    Hi All, It seems like there are a lot of issues going around but I haven't seen my exact issue yet. I got my PS XB1X last night after returning from business travel. I set it up overnight to download all the games. I woke up this morning to the unit shut
    down, I powered it up, loaded Forza 7, and then turned it off. During the power down, after the screen went black, it started making a faint scratching/humming noise and would not power down. After a few minutes I held the power button down and it shut off.

    I then tried to restart. I can hear the hard drive or CD spin up and then back down multiple times but nothing is happening beyond that. To get the unit to shut down I have to hold the power button down for 10 seconds.

    Anyone experienced anything similar or have any thoughts?

    Freezing my bits off

    Why is my game download stopping during the download. Once it's stopped the console is then affected, games won't play, some settings options won't open. I've done the hard reset a thousand times and factory reset twice. ps, I have an xbox one x ,it's 6
    months old.

    Xbox One Powers Down Completely During Gameplay

    Had a chat with support and they've suggested going through the steps to clear the persistent storage as there's a possibility a corrupt file could cause it. Will try that and update this post if anything else develops (plan B is replacing the power brick).

    Hello Tim, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    I take it your console is an Xbox Series X as the game will not run on the Xbox One X. However, if you are using a Series X please try powercycling it by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down then unplug it for 5 minutes. During this time unplug the modem/router for at least 60 seconds to clear any possible issues there.

    When the internet is back up and running try again.

    To be clear Xbox One games and select BC Xbox 360 games are compatible between the Standard Xbox One, One S, and one X.

    The differences between the One S and X are down to preferences about design and processing power.
