    Xbox One X (Project Scorpio) pulsating fans


    So for the past week I noticed an imperfection with my system. The unit's fan is pulsating or revving up and down like that of a car engine. It's the equivalent of someone repeatedly tapping
    the gas-pedal of a car. I notice it when I'm playing any game. Out of my 3 years of ownership I never had this issue until this past week after downloading and playing a new game called Remothered. I tried multiple games, and it was the same experience. I
    listened to it while idle, and it's still there but much more softer than when a game is being played. What could be causing this issue after 3 years of owning a day one edition Project Scorpio unit. Clearing cache, and doing a soft reset didn't do it any
    justice either.

    I use to run a small usb fan on top, now my cabinets are sealed with a thermoter and fan extraction, yes costs money, but looks neat, I wouls also gets some canned air in there, as if its over heating its usually dust collection

    Hi Eza, thank you for replying. It's really not about it being loud but more so it sounds as if it's struggling to get power. The fans revs and slows down revs and slows down when gaming. I've taken the liberty of blowing out the unit with duster as well
    as unplugging it and it's still giving me the same issue. The unit has lots of ventilation space as well.

    I cleared it of dust and I've ran tests and it's not over heating but the fan inside sounds like it's struggling with lost of power. Something is going on but not quite sure.

    Hi liljroc,

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox One X powering on it's fans louder than usual when playing games. Usually fans speed up to compensate for heat coming from the Xbox. Please ensure that the console's

    ventilation     has proper space and you may find some success by using pressurized air with the console unplugged to blow out any dust that could affect air flow.
