This is a message to MS support.

I have a problem with my XBOX One X, project Scorpio Edition. The console shuts down completely during specific games' checkpoints. For instance, it will always shuts down in one specific transition in Destiny 2 (the "Gauntlet" checkpoint of the Leviathan
raid, if it helps).

I have tried to install this game on the internal HD or on an external USB HD but nothing helps. Always crashing during the same scene/checkpoints. This does not happen to my friends or when I am using my "old" XBox One. The games are therefore not the problem.

Out of the tens of times it happened, I have twice received the message that the console performed a preventive shut down to protect itself against over heating. My console is positioned flat, in an open space and lies metres/feet away from any wall. The
ventilation cannot be better. There is not heating source in the room. I do not even feel that the air pushed out of the console is abnormally warm.

After some research on internet, many players having the same issue, with the exact same game and at the same checkpoints, reported that the paste used as a heat sink below some key components is of poor quality and often poorly applied on the Scorpio and
some early series of the console. After changing this paste themselves for one of a better quality, they never had this issue again.

So, my question is: what Microsoft support/service can do to fix this problem, knowing that I have bought a Scorpio Edition and want to have a Scorpio Edition that works? I have seen that if I return my console for service it will be replaced with a regular
XBOX One X, which is not an option I want.

Hi there,

Purchasing any electronic item on Day One runs the same risk, this is not unique to the Xbox One X release - Prices drop after release, there are limited time specials offered, or a newer model comes out down the road.

Same goes for automobiles.

The Scorpio edition is a limited edition console. No more will be made of that edition. Any user If you want an Xbox One X with PUBG, it won't say Project Scorpio on it.

Any user currently looking for a Project Scorpio edition console one month after release will most likely be paying a higher price for it than what it originally sold for.
