Xbox one x paperweight.

Seems my Xbox one x has finally taken its last breath. Over countless offline updates all because Microsofts poor updates online, she's dead. I've gotten at least 10 different error codes, I've tried another offline update, tried factory resets. But no.
So I've contacted Microsoft and they want 245$ To repair/replace it and since I think they do This purposely because it happened right after the warrantee was up I have a very expensive paperweight now. Thanks for the good work Microsoft. Keep the garbage
systems coming.

Mine started doing this to me two days ago its less than 20% full it does this constantly and its less than two months old. What is the fix for this I can get nowhete in any game my xbox one x is literally a 500 dollar paperweight at this point.

COD Modern Warfare is causing fatal windows registry errors (E100,E101,E102 etc) and causing xbox one x’s to completely fail. I already had to buy a new xbox one x due to cod MW. Unless you have $350 to buy a new xbox play MW cautiously. I haven’t heard
of MW causing any fatal issues with Xbox one S only the X. Hopefully, after many more complaints activision will start compensating players that had their xbox one x’s destroyed because of MW. Another friend of mine had his xbox one x destroyed today due to
COD MW. This is completely ridicolous that activision does not admit responsibility for costing people so much money. If MW has caused your Xbox X to become a paperweight please post about your issue so hopefully activision will address this.

Yes it is the original one from 2013. It’s been a work horse but wanted to make sure there wasn’t something I missed in trying to get the old girl running. The hard drive seems to have been running worst since having to do the wipe.

It’s okay I have a Series S coming in next week since it was available and will serve its purpose for how I game so we will just use the OG now from the streaming apps

It was a figure of speech. To 'throw in the towl' means to give up.

As to the issue at hand, if you've already tried the hard reset then it sounds to me like the hard drive is on the way out.

The internal drive isn't user replaceable. Have you tried running your games from external storage?

If the games are already running on an external then change the drive over. Otherwise you'll need a repair/replacement console.

If your Xbox One is the original model (the big black one from 2013) Microsoft no longer services these machines.
