Xbox one X pad keeps freezing

Xbox pads are universal on all one/s/x consoles, connect them by pressing the key where you change the batteries together with the Xbox button on the console, or connect the USB wire between the console and pad and see if you also fix it by updating the
pad

Try to clear the cache by holding down the power button for 10 secs and try again.

If it doesn't work, delete your profile from the console and re-download it again.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Since you've previously attempted a reset of the console, that allowed you to keep your games & apps installed, but are still continuing to experience the issue, we'd recommend that you try to fully reset your console to factory
defaults to rid the OS of any potentially damaging files that may be causing it to persist.

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console.
7. Select Reset and remove everything.

Note: Please be sure that you know the email address and password for log in to your profile as the reset will remove all profiles from the console.

In relation to your issue concerning your saves, you may wish to take a look at our support article entitled Syncing Xbox One game
saves to the cloud error messages which will help troubleshoot that issue depending on the error message you received when your attempt to save your progress failed.

Give these solutions a try and please let us know the results.

Thank you for responding. If you haven't already, I'd like for you to try performing a

factory reset on your Xbox by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console.

You will be given two options. choose the one which allows you to keep the games and apps (save the hassle of downloading everything). Hope this helps!
