Xbox one X overheating issue?

I don't even bother with Microsoft support, I dont see why I should be inconvenienced and left without a gaming console while they repair issues caused by inferior production and lack of checks on quality control.

This is already my second Xbox One X in two months, if the fan starts playing up on this one, its just going right back to Amazon UK for a full refund.

...and I will do the probably the healthiest and best thing I have ever done, and that is giving up gaming with Microsoft based systems.

Although the only other alternative is Sony PlayStation and I'm not even going to bother with them.

I will just give up.

There are far less problematic hobbies and past times than video gaming!

I think it is ridiculous the amount of annoyance and stress that gamers have to deal with, while console makers and game developers/publishers get FILTHY rich!

Anyone else feel like a guinea pig in a lab sometimes ? ...beta testing, pre-ordering, errors, glitches, failing hardware in consoles, update after update ... its a joke.

Microsoft doesnt deserve a single customer, they treat us like idiots, just one look at the price on the Xbox store confirms that, the price for a game download is SO much more than it is to buy the actual physical game.

Then if you ever have a problem with a faulty console, which happens ALL the time, for YEARS! ... they aren't customer centric, they dont care about the inconvenience that has been caused to you ...you send a broken console, they repair it and you wait 30
days or more to get it back .

...word of advice to any Xbox console users reading this. If you get a fault, take it back to the seller and demand a refund, don't even bother with Microsoft Support.

I'm on Xbox One X console number two so far, and that is in only two months! ... and I hardly play the darn thing. I'd say maybe an hour or two per day, if that! ...and these Chinese made pieces of junk still break down.

and it's not just PUBG that has had these problems. Several playing Microsoft's own State of Decay 2 have experienced the same issue. Here's one reddit
thread about it. Undead Labs even admitted in their Patch 1.3 notes that they "fixed crashes players were experiencing when loading into their communities."

I've had the shutdown happen to me in both games.

Sorry, Felix, if this is a console repair issue, something needs to be announced or made official, because there are a lot of X users experiencing the same problem. And it would be a slap in the face of everyone who purchased day one consoles only to find
out, AFTER the warranty expires, that they purchased flawed hardware.

So, is this a console design flaw in the X/Scorpio that can be remedied with a console replacement? Or is this a problem with MS dev tools? Or is it simply a problem on the game development side, where devs are just lacking familiarity with the X hardware.
Undead Labs' patch notes make me think it's this, but I'm not so sure that X's design isn't a major contributor to the problem.

Yes, this overheating problem is caused by PUBG. It started around update 15 or 16 I think. My fans also go wild once it displays your character and the dynamic background. I've never had it shut down there, but it will randomly shut down while playing
the game. I often point a fan at the Xbox which seems to stop it. Super annoying.

Sounds like a an issue with the console, take it back to where you bought it and get it replaced.
