    Xbox One X OS Update Causing Issues


    Hello,

    My Xbox One X recently was updated to v10.0.19041.4172.

    Since then, I’ve received several messages stating that there was a problem with my game saves and that I must clear my local saves. I’ve done this, but within 24 hours of that message, my console begins to run slow, then processes lock up to the point that
    I have to completely reboot. When I reboot, I get an error message that seems to be different every time, though I have consistently gotten E102 errors.

    I perform an offline update, and the console reboots like normal, but remains slow until it eventually tells me theres a problem with my game saves again. This last time I reset the console, the store needed to update, and it would queue, but would only
    download below 100kbps for maybe 20 minutes before just downloading normally.

    I’ve done this 3 times now. I have a hard time believing its hard drive failure, because the drive still reads and writes information, and I’ve never had a problem with this console until this most recent update.

    Will the problem go away with a future update? I hope this can be addressed soon if so. This is all very strange.

    The Xbox One OS updates usually roll out in waves, you will sometimes be given the option to update the OS for a day or two before being forced to update, but updates roll out to all versions of the Xbox One (original Xbox One, S and X) at the same time.

    I’m not sure how to reach these settings, but I’m quite certain it is not an issue with my router. My series x has worked for months before now, and all other devices on the network are working, including my Xbox one and Xbox one x. I have been having this issue since roughly the time that my series x last updated, is it possible that the issue is an overlooked bug in the series x OS?

    Series x connects to hotspot but not my wifi.

    I am having this same issue. Mine started about a week and a half ago, soon after the latest OS update to my series x. similarly, it works fine with my hotspot. My family has a Xbox one, and one x, which are having no issues, but my series X is having issues. I’m guessing it must be a bug in the operating system, but please keep the thread updated if you find a solution!
