Xbox One X One Guide just flashes when display is set to 4k. Random Xbox Live Disconnects

    Hi everyone

I anyone else having this issue. Xbox Support wasted a week of my life and then blamed the Xbox location which was fully vented and not enclosed in by anything so I have no idea what their point was.

    The problems I've having is:

    1) When set to 4k the console home screen displays fine, games play ok, but open up the TV app (One Guide) and it just flashes continuously. Even when there is no input signal from the sky box. You return to the home screen and everything is flashing still.
As soon as you do options on One Guide and select quit, everything stops flashing and the picture and sound remains steady.

    2) Xbox Live randomly disconnects. The NAT type goes from Open to getting info and then fails. Turning the console off and back on sorts it. I've given the console a static IP and added this ip to the DMZ allow on my router so I know this isn't a port blocking
issue as everything will be allowed through. Since added it to DMZ it stays up for about 2 days and then I have to restart again.

This console stinks of bugs. I've replaced the console to rule out hardware and got the exact same issues. Xbox Support are useless or rather, they seem to me, to be hiding something, for example they know of this issues but won't admit.

Am I the only one with this issue? Has anyone else got this issue and managed to sort it?

I've have today tried a new 18gbps fully shielded HDMI cable and that hasn't sorted it. My TV is an LG55UF850V. I've tried everything setting wise on both the Xbox One X and on the TV but to no avail. I've tried a different HDMI port but no better.

    Many thanks in advance

    :)

  2. XBOX ONE X HDR look dark and blurry with "TCL 55P605" TV ?

The TCL website has some instructions on how to configure your TV to let the Xbox One X fully utilize 4K: TCL | America’s Fastest Growing TV Brand

Verify that your TV is capable of HDR by going to the Xbox One X display settings and open "4K TV details".

In the Xbox One X display settings, ensure you have "color depth" set to at least "30 bits per pixel (10-bit)" to enable HDR.

It should work on your Xbox One but when you buy a 4K HDR TV you have go to Setting app <Display and set up your picture. Here also a video guide to help you out. 4K on Xbox One Consoles

    Xbox One X on a 720p HD-READY TV??

    HI Andreas,

You can play the Xbox One X on 4 different resolution settings: 720p, 1080p, 1440p, and 4K UHD. Your Xbox will automatically detect your TV and the resolution it is capable of and display the best possible resolution it can with what the TV will support.
So it should work great on your TV as the Xbox One X is more powerful than the original Xbox One.

To manually manage your resolution settings on the Xbox One X just open up the guide and go to Settings>Display & sound>Video output>Display>TV resolution.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

    4K content

The Xbox One will only output at 1080p

The Xbox One S features 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, 4K video streaming and High Dynamic Range (HDR) for games and video. In addition to supporting 4K video content when used in conjunction with a 4K TV, Xbox One S will also upscale non-4K content
to display at 4K when paired with a 4K TV. When you set your console resolution to 4K UHD, everything on the console — Home, games, and apps—will display at 4K. 4K content is displayed in its native 4K resolution, and other content (like 1080p content) is
    upscaled to 4K.

The Xbox One X - 4K content is displayed in its native 4K resolution, and other content (like games encoded for 1080p) is upscaled to 4K

    Xbox One S Error 0x80bd0033

Ran into the same issue with my Xbox One X when trying to connect to my 4k tv through a switch. I had to set my Playstation 4 Pro to 2160p-YUV420 to display properly. Is there a similar setting for the Xbox One X?
