Xbox one x not turning on from Windows app

Hey there. I have messed with this for awhile but havent figured much out. Everytime I go to turn on my xbox one x from my pc it says "We can't turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as
your console and your console is set to instant-on." Ive been through settings and checked that everything is setup right and as far as I can tell it is. If I hit add device it still doesn't detect the xbox. What I have to do everytime is turn the xbox on
and restart the console and then it works just fine and I can start streaming. The pc is hardwired ethernet and xbox is on wifi. Im sure its something simple I've missed but if someone can point me in a direction that would be great.
