    Greetings......

    My display is the HP 27xQ ((Spec Info Found Here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06219176 ))

    The monitor is a 1440 144hz Monitor with HDMI 2.1 which is compatible for 1440p 144hz which is the Native resolution.

    The Xbox One X now supports 1080p 120hz and 1440p 120hz, however, my Xbox One X will not let me choose 1440p 120hz on the One X display settings.

    Has anyone else had this issue with their display?

    I have tested this same monitor on my PC which has a MSI RTX 2070Super and it supports 120hz and 144hz at 1440p, but thats on my PC.

    I also tested this same monitor on a Radeon RX570 and it also works perfectly at 120hz / 144hz 1440p.

    My concern is if I will have this same problem with the Series S / X or is this pertaining to just the One X hardware / One X motherboard?

    This is a very tech sensitive topic, anyone with any ideas please chime in. I have a YouTube community asking the same questions and who have the same issue.

    I used the HDMI 2.1 port when i did my PC testing. I even tried different HDMI cables.

    The issue is the Xbox One X system. Im wondering if Microsoft is able to fix that with a patch or softwarw update.

    Doing some research, it seems the One X uses HDMI 2.0 which might be the issue. Im just concerned if I will have this same issue with the Series S/X that i pre-ordered.

    The monitor is a 1440 144hz Monitor with HDMI 2.1 which is compatible for 1440p 144hz which is the Native resolution.
    Your Monitor only uses HDMI 2.0,

    There are no Monitor's available as of yet that supports HDMI 2.1,

    The very first Monitor to support HDMI 2.1 ( The World's First Monitor to have HDMI 2.1 ) won't be released until the end of December if it doesn't get delayed and that's a 4K 144hz Monitor.

    Wow yes your correct. Got my ports mixed up.

    On PC I did test the HDMI 2.0 port, and im able to get 120hz and 144hz at 1440p.

    The Xbox on the other hand will only allow me to choose 120hz at 1080p. When I choose 1440p it only allows 60hz.

    Thanks for informing me on the HDMI 2.0 port.

    The HP manual I've had a quick look at seem a bit basic in the technical information it provides. For example, I couldn't find any definitive information on whether a 120Hz refresh was available on both HDMI and Display Port, it just doesn't say.

    Did you use HDMI when you tested your monitor on your RTX 2070S and RX570? Or was it Display Port?

    4K/1440p HDR

    Microsoft locked hdr to 4k so if ur monitor dont accept 4k signals ( tick allow 4k box in settings must be selected for hdr) it doesnt work on 1080p 1440p displays usually only if they accept 4k signals. Because microsoft locked it since xbox one s and
    one x. It is hard to understand why they not allow it now because they have xbox series s 1440p 120hz hdr console right?
