Xbox one x not outputting to display

Hello

I have an Xbox one x that I bought factory refurbished a year and half ago. Recently it has stopped displaying, and the tv will not even recognize it. I tried to do a factory reset to see if that would do anything but was unsuccessful. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. It could be a hardware issue, but that doesn't make sense for a 1.5 year old lightly used Xbox.

If that doesn't help, it will mean that it is a hardware issue and the console will need to be repaired. Since it isn't under warranty anymore I'll suggest you take it to a local departmental store so their repair department can fix it for you and you can take it home the same day.

It is connected to the proper port on the Xbox and I have tried about 5 different monitors and tvs with no success.

Ensure the HDMI cable is connected in the correct position of the console.

Have you tried different TV? or a different HDMI port on the existing TV?

Check thru TV remote that TV is on the correct SOURCE for Xbox.

So are you saying you plugged your cable box into the HDMI passthrough on the One X?

If the cable box is defaulting to a lower resolution when connected into the Xbox One X's HDMI passthrough, you should be able to adjust the display output in the cable box's settings menu.
