    XBox One X Not Functioning Correctly on Samsung TV


    I have a fairly new XBox One X (Less than 6 months old) that is being used on a 65" Samsung 4K TV that is a little over a year old. I have been playing with no problems until about 2 weeks ago. The TV would recognize that the XBox was connected to HDMI
    3 but would not display the game on the screen. It would only say that I needed to Power On the device when it was already on. The Xbox works perfectly on any other TV that I connect it to. I tried changing some setting within the Xbox and the TV and it is
    displaying the game but when playing games like Call Of Duty, it continually blinks off every 10 or 15 seconds. I have walked through troubleshooting with Samsung and they say that that the TV is fine. I have walked through troubleshooting with Microsoft and
    they say the Xbox is fine. I need to see if anyone has any input on how to fix this issue.

    it only happens to the Xbox X series + Samsung TV. I have Xbox one and a sony TV as well. I tried Xbox X series + Sony TV and Xbox one + Samsung TV. both work...

    Which Samsung 4k TV, my MU8000 was a nightmare with my Xbox One X but it got tolerable when I updated the TV firmware.

    With my Xbox One X I personally prefer a Samsung TV. I got one at Wal Mart for $200. It was a 43 inch UHD 4K Smart TV. At first I was concerned with the size being too small but later I realized it's perfect! I recommend Samsung to anyone with a One X!

    How to know if displaying 4k?

    Note also that during setup, the Xbox One X default resolution is 1080p, If the console detects you are using a 4K display, it will prompt you to ask if you wish to change to 4K. If not, you can change this manually from the settings screen.

    You can see if your TV is displaying correctly either from an information button on the remote, or by simply changing the HDMI source back and to the Xbox One X again. This will usually show a information pane at the top of the screen showing the resolution
    your TV is set to.

    On my Samsung it says UHD 3840x2160.

    anyone have any updates on this with Samsung? I ordered the Xbox one X I hope I don’t have the same issue!!!
