Xbox One X not finding the HDMI source through the TV?

My Xbox One X will not show up on the TV screen. It can not find the HDMI source. The Xbox turns on fine, it won't show up on the screen. Tried switching Hdmi ports, different cords, different TV's, everything. Went to the Xbox support website, tried powering off/on, tried hold the power button and the eject button until I heard 2 beeps and nothing. Please help.

    :)

Look for a local PC repair shop that also does console repairs. You DO NOT have to send it to Microsoft for repair.

looks like you have the typical hdmi failure, its either the port thats gone bad or the chip that controls it, will most likely need repair.

Xbox One X not finding the HDMI source through the TV?

This happened to me recently, of course the console was over 3 years old so the warranty was out and they wanted to charge me 250$ to "maybe" fix it and no refund if they dont. Your options are to fix it yourself by replacing the chip and the port or join the online console buying race and get lucky.

can i watch my cable through my xbox one without having to turn on my xbox one?

On my TV's remote, there is a button labeled "Source" which when I push that button it allows me to choose whether to display HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 on the screen. My TV is HDMI 1 and the xbox is HDMI 2 so I can switch between the two sources. Although the xbox
is not turned on, it does something called pass-through which somehow passes the cable signal through the xbox (which is turned off), and displays on my TV screen. However, I have come to find out that not all TV's support this so it will require research
on your end. In terms of electricity, the xbox does not have to be actually on at all times, it is in a stand-by mode that draws less electricity than when it is turned on. I hope that helps.

    Watching tv with xbox off?

No, use two cables each to a HDMI port on the TV and then use your TV remote to change between HDMI inputs.
Theres just a black screen on my tv when the xbox one x is shut off! It doesnt let me see the screen when i press my remotes “source” button, so I cant use the remote to switch from hdmi 1 to hdmi 2.

i have to manually unplug and then reinsert the hdmi cables into the hdmi ports
