  1. Xbox One X Not Displaying on TV

    Hello,

I'm really at my wit's end here, I cannot seem to find any way at all to contact Microsoft support about my issue at all. My Xbox One X has been working great until yesterday when I stopped getting a display on my television completely. I have tried multiple
HDMI cables to no avail. The cables work fine with other connections and when I plug into my television it will detect the HDMI cable, but get no display. The Xbox is powering up just fine and I've texted friends to confirm that they see me online when the
Xbox is powered up, so I'm thinking it must be a problem with the HDMI port, perhaps?

I've gone through ever troubleshooting step I could find online including starting in low-res mode and attempting a factory reset via a USB drive. I keep getting the "power down" sound while holding down the Bind and Eject buttons, which seems to indicate
that the update/reset has failed. I don't know my Xbox's IP Address, so I'm unable to connect to the Xbox Console Companion on my Windows 10 laptop to get a display on my laptop. My Xbox is plugged directly into the modem provided by my ISP, so I'm really
not even sure how to find out what the IP Address is at this point.

I'm not quite ready to request a device repair because I'd like to get a second opinion or at least just find some way to talk to anyone about my issue. The only thing the Xbox Support website keeps suggesting is something about trouble with 4k, which isn't
    really the problem here.

If anyone has any helpful information or a way to contact Xbox Support regarding this I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

    :)

    Xbox One X on a 720p HD-READY TV??

    HI Andreas,

You can play the Xbox One X on 4 different resolution settings: 720p, 1080p, 1440p, and 4K UHD. Your Xbox will automatically detect your TV and the resolution it is capable of and display the best possible resolution it can with what the TV will support.
So it should work great on your TV as the Xbox One X is more powerful than the original Xbox One.

To manually manage your resolution settings on the Xbox One X just open up the guide and go to Settings>Display & sound>Video output>Display>TV resolution.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Displaying 1440p on Xbox one X

Your Xbox One console should automatically detect the display resolution on your TV. However, on rare occasions, it might not. If this happens, follow the steps: Open the guide, and then select System >
Settings. Under Display & sound, select Video output. Select TV resolution, and then choose either 720p, 1080p or 4K UHD, whichever is best for your TV. If you don't see the resolution for your TV, set TV connection to Auto detect.

    1440p resolution does the following:

    • Displays images at a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
    • Provides the user with a 16:9 high definition (HD) viewing area.

A growing number of computer monitors are sporting a 1440p resolution and becoming a popular choice among gamers. It’s sometimes referred to as “Quad HD,” because it offers four times the resolution of 720p HD display.

    Things to keep in mind:

    • You must have an Xbox One X or an Xbox One S and a monitor or TV that supports 1440p to use the 1440p resolution.
    • If you have an Xbox One S or an Xbox One X and your TV supports 120Hz over HDMI, selecting this resolution allows you to change the refresh rate to 120Hz. For more information, see

    Xbox

Hi, make sure you connect the cables well to both the console and the TV.

As well as being in the correct mode on the TV that the Xbox displays.

borderlands 2 hd texture not loading

    Hi Red,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. On the Xbox one original, you will not see any of the HD. As the description states will need an Xbox one X to install.

Xbox One X Enhanced, featuring 4K Ultra HD and HDR. Increase the visual fidelity of Borderlands 2 and its DLC with this Ultra HD texture pack. Upgrade game textures including characters, vehicles, weapons and environments. Players will best appreciate
detail at 4K resolution, but improvements can be enjoyed on other displays.*
*Xbox One X required to install. 4K display required for 4K resolution.

The star notates that it can be enjoyed on other displays, meaning that the display(TV) is not a 4K TV.

    Thanks,

    Brad
