    Xbox One x no 1080p


    Hi, my xbox cannot set 1080p resolution on pc monitor AOC 27B1H (FHD 1.4 hdmi port) use original Microsoft cable. I reset to factory settings. the Xbox is 3 months old.

    is it a known problem?

    Xbox One and Xbox One S are 1080P Gaming

    Xbox One S will play 4K Blu Ray's

    Xbox One X will play Game in 4K if they are Enhanced with 4K Support + 4k Blu Ray support

    They Xbox One X will also Upscale on a 1080p screen so you will see some benefit of the Xbox One X

    You will get 1080p with the Xbox one day one as the HDMI out is 1080p.

    To get your 4k, you need an Xbox one x.

    Upscale 1080p to 4k

    It will not upscale to 4K as your TV is only capable of 1080p. However your Xbox One X will downscale 4k to 1080p which looks a lot nicer then normal 1080p.

    Xbox Series X supported graphics

    As with the Xbox One X, games that are Enhanced for this specific console will be rendered in 4K, and then downscaled to 1080p, which will result in much smoother and better looking graphics than "directly" rendered 1080p.

    So with the Series X you would get the best 1080p graphics.

    I have a 1080p TV, and I think upgrading to the Xbox One X was a great idea for me personally. The games look better, and run better, even at 1080p resolutions. I've also got a 2K monitor which I use on occasion, through that I can take advantage of better
    resolutions if I want, but primarily my One X is plugged into a 1080p display.

    The difference in 1080p between a One S and a One X is pretty blatant in some games, especially Nier Automata.
