Xbox one X mic Icon still on mute

I am buying the Xbox mic tonight and hope that this works but, in this solution you gave me is to buy an adapter makes the wireless wired or in other words return the astros A20 and buy a headset that has a controller adapter to connect to the headset..
How can I use a wireless headset? I will find out tonight if this works with the original headset mic for Xbox.

This is a known issue, it happens with a lot of third party accessories. If you can try purchasing an adapter, this way headset plugs into adapter and the adapter plugs into controller. There been a few with the same issue that got the adapter and it worked
for them.

I have recently purchased the a20 headset and connected it to the xbox but it still did not work i tried it on my PC and it worked good and the sound is also working as it should but when i went back to connect it to the xbox then I noticed that the sound
is too low and the mute icon is still on mute..

I purchased Xbox one X gold rush edition and Astros A20 head set both are brand new. I am pretty sure the controller is new as well. Why is the mute icon still on mute when this is a whole different console? Is the accounts muted?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're seeing a little microphone symbol with a line through it on the top corner of the dashboard is that correct? That does not necessarily mean that the mic is muted. That
symbol turns into a little headset symbol when the console recognizes a headset being plugged into a synced controller. I recommend trying different headsets and controllers and see if you can get the symbol to change at all. Let us know with a reply how it

I recently purchased the Xbox one X gold rush edition because my old one was just stuck on mute but that didn't resolve anything, I might just return this and play on a PC instead.. did any one resolve this issue yet??

Is there a fix for this problem? My headsets were working just fine and today there is the mute icon next to the battery icon. I never changed anything between last night and today. I know the headsets work, ive tried them on my phone and work just fine. What
can I do to fix this issue so I can use my headsets again.
