    Hi. So a while ago I posted a video of my Xbox One S having some issues with a laggy UI. I thought it was a problem with the preview program at the time and left it at that.

    Fast forward to now and I get the same menu lag on my new Xbox One X. I've not yet signed my One X up to the preview program so I know the program isn't what's causing the lag. Having done a bit of research into the problem I can say that I'm not the only
    one who gets this.

    I have two possibilities . 1) It somehow down to my ISP and it making the menu lag for some unknown reason although I can't see how as my connection is solid when playing games (Latency is around 16-20ms) Or 2) It's a faulty slow Xbox?

    I'm hoping it's number 1 but there really isn't many ways for me to check.

    I'm in the UK if that's any help and my ISP is Sky who provide me with 75mb down and 20mb up.

    I have had the xbox one with kinect for about two years now. I feel like the UI just lags ang lags. It should be instant and snappy, but it seems to pause and take a second between input and an action seen on screen. Also atleast a few times a week I have
    to restart the xbox one just so stutter during video on any app goes away. Has anyone had any issues with this and if so... What did you do to fix it.

    Too add up on what the player above said a hard reset seems to clear up UI issues all the time

    Follow the step by step tutorial below.

    1) Hold the Power button on the console for 8 seconds

    2) Unplug the power brick cutting the power out of the console

    3) Wait an estimate of 5-6 minutes

    4) Plug everything back in

    5) Settings - Network - network settings - test network connection + Multiplayer connection

    6) (Optional) also clear your alternate MAC address that will seem to fix it.

    6 Continue) Settings - Network - Network settings - Advanced settings - Alternate MAC address - Clear - Restart console

    G'day,

    I am in the Insider preview program and if I get the lag you're describing I do a full shutdown and clear the cache by removing the power cord from the console for a couple of minutes, then plug back in and power back up.

    You may want to reset your router at the same time, but try the above first.

    If you do reset your router make sure it's fully operational prior to powering up console.

    Hi Gunther,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. personally have had this happen from time to time. Most times it is caused by corrupt data. A

    soft factory reset     usually corrects this as it resyncs the OS of the console. If you are enrolled in the insider program then them updates you get from that can definitely be the cause as you are part of the group that tests them.

    What do you expect from the Xbox Series X UI?

    Xbox One UI is continuously going through enhancements and I believe it would be a similar UI for the series X with no major changes.
