Xbox One X Maintenance

Quick question. Is it recommend to have the inside of the Xbox One X cleaned? If so where would I take it to do so.

Hello Winner,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. You can use can of compressed air to spray in through where the fans are. Personally I have used compressed air on my console. However we cant recommend places to take it to get it serviced except Microsoft.
If there is a Microsoft store near you, you can call them or visit and ask them. If is not recommended to open the console, as it may cause damage to internal components.

No it is not recommended. Just keep it in a clean location and keep the area around it free of dust and debris and you should not have any issues with it. If you open it at all Microsoft will never work on it.

It actually does. I got the Series X this holiday at $349, and the same disc is working perfectly. I have determined that the Xbox One X disc drive is trying to read Cross Gen discs differently than Xbox One discs. The disc drive on the Series X doesn’t have this issue. You might need a new disc or you might need to send your Series X for maintenance.
