    Xbox One X losing signal when switching to 4k


    I have a Marantz SR5011 and Sony A1E. I'm running into some issues with how I will setup and get what I need / want in terms of both gaming and entertainment.

    Xbox One X supports Dolby Atmos, but in order to get Dolby Atmos I must go through my receiver. However, whenever I change my console to 4k in its video settings, it constantly loses signal every 15 seconds or so (losing input then coming back. This does
    NOT happen when I connect my Xbox One X DIRECTLY to the TV (HDMI 2/3). However, If I connect directly, I cannot get Dolby Atmos through ARC or Optical.

    Does anyone know if there is a specific setting I need to change on the input on the receiver to stop this video interruption? It doesn't happen when the console is set to 1080P, only 4k.

    Xbox One X 4K pass thru?

    When you say 4K pass through, are you talking about a 4K source sending the TV signal to the Xbox and then to the TV? Or sending the Xbox1 X 4K signal to pass through a 4K receiver and then to the 4K TV?

    Samsung QM85D 4K Panel and xbox One X

    Hi, My tv is Samsung QM85D 4K, I had plug my one X to HDMI 1, but it can't show 4K resolution.

    after I check the spec of QM85D, DP port is 4K and 60Hz, then I use DP to HDMI cable to connect with One X, TV shows no signal~

    any possible way could make my One X display at 4K?

    this is caused by, the Xbox needed more power to send the signal to your tv, I had this happen as I went through a hdmi splitter, as soon as I put directly to the TV's 4k HDMI , everything worked fine.

    If the second poster here is still getting the problem, check a few things, your will mostly be down to one of a few problems, more than likely your TV , either it isn’t a proper HDMI 4k, the cable, or a setting.

    Bottom line guys, your X has to go directly to the TV m to avoid any black screen problems.

    I was on this for days.

    Nothing wrong with my TV. It works fine with my PS4 Pro. It's a 2017 Sony Bravia XE80 which ticks all the boxes.

    I've tried different cables and numerous settings too.

    It's definitely an Xbox issue.

    Nothing wrong with my TV. It works fine with my PS4 Pro. It's a 2017 Sony Bravia XE80 which ticks all the boxes.

    Xbox one s isn't capable of 4k gaming the only 4k supported in the S is only in streaming and uhd playback fyi

    Thr xbox one x and higher is capable of 4k

    Should.be noted.you should use the original.cable that came with your unit

    And don't SPLIT The signal so if you have a switch or receiver dint use it it splits the signal

    Always use direct connection to hdmi port tv and make sure it's the 4k port.No name brands tend to limit ports so please.refer to your tv manual
