    Xbox One X loses signal on HDR mode with LG OLED BX


    The video from my Xbox One X console goes black continuously when play a game with HDR activated on my LG BX TV. If I deactivate the HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour option on the TV, the problem is fixed, but I don't have HDR in the game.

    I've tried different games, they show the same behavior.

    I have used 5 different hdmi(the original xbox one x cable, 2 others high speed and even 2 HDMI 2.1 cable, but it doesn't fix the problem. I have also tried different ports. It still doesn't work if I have HDR activated. I tried to check and uncheck all
    the setting in the xbox also the YCC 4:2:2 without difference. I tried also soft reset, power cycling and video reset

    I have also checked both the TV and Xbox are up to date with the latest firmware. But I still got the problem.

    Could you please help me?

    Latest update messed up black levels for UHD playback

    I have the exact same issue on my One X. Tried the Star Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Both UHD discs with HDR). Games in HDR (Forza 7) look amazing but UHD movies look awful now.

    Regular blurays look fine. My LG OLED C6 switches to HDR mode and displays info saying that it is receiving a 4K signal with HDR and BT rec.2020 so the signal is correct for HDR, but it seems that the Bluray software in the latest update has been messed
    up so that it doesn't decode or send HDR image data correctly to the TV as it did before.

    I have the same issue. LG OLED E6

    Same issue here with my LG OLED B6. I am running it through an Onkyo TX-NR555, though. I don't have any problems with my PS4 Pro HDR handshaking, though. It seems to be Xbox One X specific, and it happens with my by consoles (my wife has one too so I
    tested it, and both are in the latest alpha preview).
    If I set the Xbox One X to 1080p it runs fine. It seems specific to running in 4k. It won't even get a signal in 4k anymore. I have to uncheck 4k otherwise it loses signal when trying to change reslolution for a 4k game.

    I have a replacement coming from Amazon tomorrow. If that does the same then it's going back for a refund and I'm done with it all.

    Looking for a TV for 4K HDR Gaming on the Xbox One X?

    Go with the OLED, the Samsung is nothing more than a fancy LCD but it still has all the flaws of LCD technology.

    OLED HDR blows away everything else on the market, they cannot compete against it.

    Tip: On LG OLED in HDR game mode set HDR dynamic contrast to low to make it appear a bit brighter.

    I have a XBOX One X connected to an OLED LG C8. If I use the Netflix app on XBOX One X then the LG will display Dolby Vision. So I know that it is passing. But If I use a 4K Bluray that has Dolby Vision, the player will only output HDR。Blu-ray
    playback is already up to date.

    Can't help you there, but my scorpio doesn't even detect HDR on my LG EG9600 (2015 model; has HDR on netflix streaming perfectly; I selected Deep Color in settings). Still get 4K, but can't even get HDR to work. And my LG TV is the OLED mode if that has
    anything to do with anything.
