It could be your not pushing it in hard enough i find with those cables you have to give it a firm push. don't be afraid to put some pressure on it

Is the cable firmly plugged into the Xbox One console all the way? Don't be too afraid to push in a little bit to double check the cable is in all the way. If you happen to have a similar figure-8 power cable in your household, feel free to give that a shot

could it be that the power cable is loose? sometimes when the power cable is loose somewhere, it causes the xbox to freeze
