XBOX ONE X LAUNCH CELEBRATION Thread/Discussion

I still need to work out how to customize the UI on the Xbox One X since the last update. It's still a lot of boxes and the community section has gotten worse with more clutter since the last update. But they make changes to the UI every month. Once you've
got used to something, they give you a surprise the next month to try to adapt to. But the speed of the UI is a massive improvement. UI performance will always be superior and far better on an Xbox One X console due to the more powerful hardware. There is
very minimal and negligible GPU and CPU and HDD speed improvement between the original and the S models. Both have the same 1.75Ghz processor and the same 8GB DDR3 memory.

On the topic of that: what's gonna differentiate *your* unboxing from the gazillion that are already out there? True gamers, or peeps still sitting on the fence who need convincing (or those waiting for an ALL-WHITE SKU before jumping ahead), would've been
well served by a week's worth of unboxings - from big name sites like IGN and Digital Foundry. Also, what happened to the precious act of cradling your baby (lol) with WHITE GLOVES? I noticed on those pics you posted the console was *deboxed* and sitting on
a harsh surface (!) with nary a hint of hermetic handling in sight. #GottaLoveAlliteration

 

It will be in the video. I actually got so carried away that I unboxed without wearing my white gloves. I still got a bit more recording to do tonight or tomorrow, then I'll edit all my recordings into one video and upload. I've still got some recording
to do so I'll wear my white gloves for it. I'll pat my console wearing the white gloves.

And it wasn't a swear filter. This site malfunctioned. I obviously said the Xbox One "X" so many times this site may have interpreted it as bad. I didn't even feel like editing it. I then ran into an "Oh O, that shouldn't have happened" "Looks like you've
found a glitch" page. This forum site is not world class, let's just say. I use Planet Coaster forums run by Frontier, and their site runs way more better. I expect my video to be ready to upload by tomorrow eve. I'm just finishing off these large update patches
(27GB/s for an Xbox One X Enhanced patch for Final Fantasy XV). Also still need to install and update my disc copy of Screamride, made by Frontier. It's not like I'm super rich.

Watching some 10 year old unbox a console is not going to convince anyone to buy said console.

Guess it's something to get excited about for all your playground buddies though.

Surely if this xbox one x is soooo good you would be playing on it instead of making pointless posts & videos for youtube?

So my post from yesterday was deleted, the forums are similar to the old ones in that case. Hello all older forum buddies.

 

Xbox One X has excellent Dolby Atmos audio technology, something which the competition console doesn't have. It's better than even Dolby Digital 7.1 Surround Sound. I played a few sample clips with my Turtle Beach 500X using this technology from my X console,
and it was beautiful and pure bliss.

Turtle Beach has a new headset for Xbox One X. Its the Stealth 700X I believe. Mightyape NZ is selling it for NZ$238 compared with my pair of 500x which Turtle Beach has stopped manufacturing and will sell out soon if not already, which is for NZ$399 and
the 800x which I don't like because it doesn't have a boom mic, the charging technique, is NZ$499 RRP. So the 700x represents value for money well bringing excellent Dolby Atmos and its a wireless headset and can use it for chat.

However Turtle Beach makes their headsets out of cheap plastic which easily cracks after a few months of use. All it needs is the tiniest bump and subatomic cracks develop which after weeks, develop to larger cracks which become
obvious. I've had to replace free of charge my turtle beach headsets several times. So far my 500x is working fine but they may need duct tape soon. Or I could get the 700x if worse comes to worse. I'm just glad that turtle beach is making these types of headsets
cheaper than paying near NZ/AU$400 or $500.

Final Fantasy XV on Xbox One X looks like a trillion dollars. No more blurry and no jaggies. Great textures too. Xbox One X has a large library of Xbox One X Enhanced games (over 100). Console shutdowns and boot ups are 3x faster than any other Xbox One
model. And the UI is like 2x faster than any other Xbox One model too. I don't need a 4k TV. A 4k TV is not mandatory. It's like with PC gaming. The ultra, max, and high graphics settings AREN'T reserved for 4k screens. They're available to 1080p screens too.
And I like the QUALITY of the graphics too on Xbox One X.
