XBOX ONE X LAUNCH CELEBRATION Thread/Discussion

Update.

The UI on the X is faster than on the other Xbox One models. Thanks to the faster 7200RPM HDD and faster processor and better memory (12GB worth of 326GB/s bandwidth goodness). I'm downloading my favorite games only today. The UI on the X is the same UI,
however I have noticed that it is at least 2x faster than on my day one edition console.

FH3 (85% complete), Halo Wars 2, Infinite Mingolf, Minecraft Xbox One Edition, Rocket League, and Zoo Tycoon.

A world of Keflings has already completed.

I also have to install Screamride, and Final Fantasy XV. But thank goodness these are disc versions of the game.

The Servers are running slower and it will get worst as US and UK members begin to transfer their library over to the X. Currently sitting on only 26MB/s download speed with FH3. So the Servers are going to be busy. And I have Vodafone NZ with 100mb/s download
speed.

Finally home my mum's home. We're just unpacking it. My bf who's a PS4 fan loves it, he's gonna hang around until 5. But no mic? I can just chat via messenger anyways. I have enough money to buy a mic on Saturday. I'm gonna appear offline because some of
my friends are spamming me with invites. My dad's gonna help when he gets home. We're having moroccan lamb for dinner -- mmm

It's 4:31 pm Tuesday. Looks like I may need to leave my console on overnight to complete downloading my games to my new toy.

Just tried out Dolby Atmos. Clicked on the Free 30 day trial. After which it's NZ$27.90 for unlimited access. Played a few of their clips with my Turtle Beach 500x which I use for Xbox One and Xbox 360. And the sound is amazing. It's like VR for your ears!
I may need to get a new turtle beach headset as the cheap plastic with my 500x has cracked. May need duct tape soon just for the left ear hinge piece. I know turtle beach has released a new headset for the X console which features Dolby Atmos, and it's a heck
lot cheaper than 800x elite (NZ$249 vs NZ$499). But am hoping my current pair will last for the next few months even longer. I know everything is overpriced in NZ.

As for a 4k HDR TV, I'm considering upgrading maybe soon or later. There's some pretty good sales coming up for Australasia: Boxing Day, New Years, and anniversary day. Currently have a Sony KDL40EX720 Full HDTV. It's thin and has more USB ports, but the
processor in it is slower than the quad core in Samsung, it doesn't have HDR but has 3D Ready. And Samsung's UI I think is better and much more user friendly. But they're going to cost just as much as the console. I have expensive taste. Apparently my cousin
she has expensive taste too.

 

Finished installing my games. Minecraft, YouTube, Netflix. Dolby Atmos is quite good. Think they'll implement it as standard for Xbox games?

 

You know you can transfer your games through your home network and it won’t matter how many people are downloading games.

 

Completed transferring my games to my new console. There's no Super Duper graphics pack out yet for Minecraft?? I'll wait for it I guess. Too busy owning people in tumbler. The dash in the new console is like 5x faster than my dad's
console and he has an S model. My bf said it's faster than the PS4 but the community section is like the tip, and I agree. It's not as orderly as before the last update. It got stuck at flipping 3% for half an hour on Infinity Mini Golf. My bf's getting Xbox
for xmas. I was hoping earlier but it's not too far away. Kind of bad timing cause on the 24th of Dec my family is going away for summer vacation. It's only for 2 weeks then I get to do what I want until Feb when school starts back. It's actually smaller than
my xbox 360 console

 

Awesome. It took like an hour to download FH3 for me but that was a 54GB download. Halo Wars 2 was 40GB or something. I thought I would have to download overnight but it completed all I wanted on my X 3 hours ago. I notice that hot air comes out of the back
even when the console is idle or on YouTube. Well it does have a power brick stuffed inside it.

 

Well tell him to hurry up xD. Cause one of my UK friends who was in our party tonight, when you left, said you sounded sad that he wasn't getting it until Xmas. I can get him one tomorrow if he likes. You know me, money's no problemo...

Also the new console shuts down 3x faster than my day one Xbox One console. Goes to show how convenient better hardware can be. I agree you did sound a bit low. I was friends with this British girl in 2012 (she sent ME a friend request). But she was dirty
and messed up inside. I better get to sleep now. I'll see if I can edit and upload that Hey Xbox One X is out video is out now, tomorrow. Ran out of time today. A lot of people are doing it on YouTube. The initial setup stage is fun. And when you first turn
the console on, it shows these fancy Xbox One X cutscenes. Hope there's an option for it to do that every time I start my X.

If you read any of "their" post, you will figure out "they" don't have a clue about many things. lol

I imagine they've also never heard of an external hard drive. Plug one in to the Xbox One X and you can transfer all your settings (with a backup) and have all the games on the hard drive available without having to re-install them.

"Some" people just do it the hard way I guess.

Feet person, I do have a 4k Samsung TV. The others only have a 1080p one. But they're picky with good graphics. You should see xXNic0l3w0lfyXx's bf, he's cute.

 

A+ Microsoft. World's most powerful console all the way! PS4 fans love talking about hardware specs. They've been doing so even before I joined Xbox late 2010. I chose Xbox back then over the features. Xbox 360 has voice messaging and party chat. PS3 doesn't.

UPDATE

I love you Microsoft. The UI and dash performance speed wise, is A+ on the Xbox One X. The dash and UI is just sooooooooooo much faster fact. On instant mode, when on standby, press a button, wait 2 seconds, and it's on the dash ready to play. The other
models don't work this fast. It takes only 50 seconds to boot up, faster than the S. The dash is just so much speedier and it just goes to show you the rawr power of the most powerful console ever made and which is the most powerful console 40% more powerful
than the PS4 Pro.

I'm happy about the X. I still need to finish up on recording touches, editing, then upload my Xbox One **** to YouTube. And people say GDDR5 has higher latency and makes the dash slow - yeah right.... incorrect. The UI is way more faster and responsive
on the X. And that is practical experience from me.
