Xbox One X Lag

Hello everyone. For the last few days I have been experiencing a small amount of lag while playing Rainbow Six Siege. I have not really played other games in this time period so I have only noticed it so far on this game. I did notice it on Fortnite, but
only since the introduction of an in game feature known as cube monsters. Which for those unaware is just a bunch of AI in game with the other usual 100 players so I attribute the lag to this. Anyway back on topic. I have not been hardwired in I have always
used my Wifi and it has never done this until recently. I ran my network stats and it came back all good 83mbps download speed, 8.7 mbps upload speed, and 128 ms latency. I originally thought it was a latency issue so I switched to google DNS. I then received
75 mbps download speed, 7.5 mbps upload speed, and 63 latency. Went back to the game and this had no effect at all still does it. So what actually occurs in game is I will be running down a hall and enter into a room then the game will freeze on screen for
a split second then continue to work and I will not yet have entered the room, like it moves me back 3 feet. Needless to say this has gotten me killed on multiple occasions. I am now in the process of hard resetting my Xbox by holding the power button down
until it shuts off and then continuing to hold it for a few seconds thereafter and unplugging it. Booting it up has given me the entire xbox one X loading screen with the 4k graphics chip startup screen. NAT type is open and I have switched back to automatic
DNS and reran the network stats and this is what it gives me.

Download speed = 76.58

Upload speed = 8.83

Packet Loss = 0%

MTU = 1480

Latency = 56ms

Wireless Strength = 100%

The new WWII COD is amazing! But it has its problems ...

I can't even finish a match it is so laggy. I dont think the lag was as bad with my xbox. the xbox one x is horrible with lag.

On mine, just moving to make a selection in a menu, I can see the lag. Nothing then move two selection down. Now just picture this in a game!

Rainbow Six Siege. I definitely understand and can relate to how frustrating this can be as I also play Siege. No worries though bud I'm here to assist with the networking trouble. Based off the information you provided you shouldn't be experiencing much lag
at all, but since you are let's go ahead and troubleshoot the console and network. Here are some articles from our website that I believe can help fix the issue. The first thing I recommend trying is
Power Cycling the Xbox One console. The second thing I recommend doing is following the steps listed in the

Xbox One Network Troubleshooter. I hope this information helps fix the problem, please let us know how it goes bud.

I have power cycle the xbox already and even reset my router. Nothing seems to help. I have ran through the troubleshooting and it has gotten me nowhere.

"I am experiencing slow performance when playing Xbox One games on Xbox Live."

We suggest, if all the above steps have been done, the issue might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
Soft Factory Reset
(while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
