    Xbox One X Kinect


    Pretty annoyed at learning that there is no kinect port on back of the Xbox One X, would need to buy a separate adapter. I understand trying to phase out kinect bc nobody uses the camera, but i assure you the voice commands are very important to me. i will
    not purchase the system if it requires another adapter just so i can say hey cortana turn on, and watch TV, etc... Hopefully you can in the future just add it straight to system but for now you are losing a future purchase. The price is great people who complain
    about the price are morons, i would have even paid more to have ssd inside. Other than that i loved the new system before hearing that voice commands mean nothing to everybody else.

    Are you using the Xbox 360 with Kinect, or do you have an Xbox One with Kinect 2?

    Also do you have an original Xbox One with Kinect directly connected to the console, or a Xbox One S or X with a separate Kinect Adapter to connect Kinect to your S or X console?

    If you have an external Kinect adapter for S or X consoles, what color is the light on the adapter?

    Kinect Support for XBox One X

    The Kinect will work on the Xbox One X. It just needs the adapter. Assuming it's the right adapter, then it should work fine with Kinect games and voice commands.

    The Kinect is definitely not built into the Xbox One S or X. That saleman was misinformed.

    No Xbox 360 games that require the Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor are back-compatible. All Xbox One titles that require or use Kinect for Xbox One will work with Xbox One X provided the user has the required Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S/X models.

    After full shutdown Xbox One X does not recognize Kinect.

    You're miss informed. Xbox One X and Xbox One S are still compatible with Kinect through an adapter.
