Xbox one x keeps crashing.

I have recently upgraded to an Xbox one x from the original model. Since I have been using my Xbox one x, it has crashed almost everyday I have used it. It still works and is playable but, the games crash n the middle of my sessions and returns me to my
home screen. I have no idea why, my original Xbox one never crashed in the middle of my gaming sessions. I dont know what is wrong or what could be wrons. It usually crashes randomly a couple hours into a session.

Based on your description it may be caused due to a bad system update potentially during the initial setup.

First we suggest to try basic troubleshooting like starting off with a complete power cycle.

Im having same issues with my xbox one x bought it a month ago and crashes like crazy. Ive tried the power cycle reinstalling games and still nothing sad i spent $500 on something that doesnt even work

If you have tried the power cycle and re-installing the games, then first I would recommend to try different power outlets at home to make sure it's not related to a power supply issue.

If the problem persists on a different wall outlet, then I would recommend to try a

soft factory reset to restore the operating system and download the recent system update again.
Make sure before selecting the factory reset to know your login information for your Xbox accounts and have a stable network connection as that is required for the set up. If it asks to "Apply Settings" or "Manual Settings" select manual.

Try that out and let us know the results!

 

I've got the same issue where my Xbox one X will crash constantly making playing games impossible. I have power cycled my X countless times and have also factory reset it but with no luck.

I believe there is something seriously wrong with my X as this shouldn't happen!!!

How to I go about exchanging my X as I don't believe any type of repair will sort this?

Hi when I read this my first thought was when it crashes and restarts does the internal fan switch to high and run on restart. If it does the processor could be overheating. Try putting a fan on it and see if that changes the amount of time for it to happen.
Make sure that the console is not in a tight space restricting air flow. It also could be not enough heat sink paste applied to the heat sink when it was assembled at the factory.

Hi, yes it could well be an overheating issue but my games still crash within 10 mins of playing sometimes so I wouldn't have thought it could overheat so quickly.

Also my X is not in an enclosed space to I'm running out of options now!!!
