Xbox One X is possessed?

I don't possess a Xbox series X, (it's being delivered tomorrow - hopefully!), but I know that existing Xbox owners are able to download the FS ready to use on July 27

Thanks for keeping us updated. Have you tried to use your console with the external hard drive removed? A corrupted or damaged hard drive could cause many issues that may seem difficult to troubleshoot.

Aside from that, the other option would be the full factory reset. We understand that you are worried about losing your game progress. As long as your console was connected to the internet while playing, your saved data would have been backed up to the cloud
server. So the next time you download your games and launch them with your profile, the saved data would sync from the cloud and you would be right where you left off.

Thank you for the reply, however I have already reset it twice with the option to keep my games I have a lot of time invested in my games and dont want to loose progress.

However thinking about it know I have an external ssd hard drive that I run with the system, could this be causing an issue.

I own the black original version of the xbox one, and mine occasionally does the same. I could have something to do with the settings where you can choose the option to have you xbox automatically turn on using other devices. I sometimes use a laptop when
tv is occupied so i use the auto turn on option to allow the laptop to turn on xbox. Maybe turning it off could help your situation.
