Actually, even the Xbox One X is cheaper than most of the shoes I own. Although I have to say, at the moment, it is NOT worth its price due to a very weak game lineup IMO.

But I don't know what I'm gonna do with that lovely Xbox One S 2TB I bought on day one... the one year warranty hasn't even expired yet. I don't want to get rid of that. That Xbox got me through some tough times, like Blops3 Realistic mode.

That $499 price is even offered with a 1TB drive, so it'll be a -1TB downgrade in that respect (even though I already have 6TB of external storage nearby).

Now I'm vaguely conflicted.

 

I'm very excited!!! Like the previous post, I got Day One Xbox One S 2TB. I will not get rid of it! I want to buy Xbox One X, wanting to preorder already from Microsoft or another realiable "third party." But want to know if Xbox One X supports external
hard drives like the S. I probraly not paying attention to news.

 

The size of the hard drive on the Xbox One X sounds so small I can't imagine it not supporting external drives. If it installs 4k games on the hard drive, I would think it would eat up space fast. (If that makes sense to anyone besides me. lol)

I might be wrong. I am about once a year so it's possible I guess.

For the first time in many years, Microsoft's press conference had been pushed back from its usual 9AM briefing. In Australia, this translated to 7AM! It's never a good thing to interfere with one's circadian rhythm, and by the end of that *very* long conference,
I felt like my eyes had been shot through with caffeine! So not healthy.

I'm "excited" that I pre-empted the name (as did a couple others here), but am so *not* excited by the color scheme at launch. Until such time as the price drops (it's $649 in Oz) or they offer a limited edition, I'm not budging from my One S. Call me a
party pooper, but there wasn't any one game that "sold" the new console for me - I've never been a fan of circuit racers, and 700 new cars isn't what I need in my perfectly functional (and fashionable) Horizon 3 garage. Ditto for selling me 'free' 4K upgrades:
it's still gonna cost me plenty to upgrade my display panel.

I'm definitely on board for Metro Exodus, CodeVein, Life Is Strange and Black Desert! But hey, if we're putting State of Decay 2 up against the "competition" (cough, Days Gone), well I do fear for what else Sony's got up their very populist sleeve in the
next few hours (or is it DAZE?). I'm so tired, and *so* out of here

 

Hey Goth it's been a while, I have recently upgraded my Tv to a series 9 55" Samsung 4k HDR and am already. The price is more than I thought it would be but I'm lucky that my Day1 2013 version is still going like a trooper so I can justify the purchase.
I can understand those who have an S being conflicted.

 

What I reacted to was that Life is strange showed a long sceene with someone lighting up a cigarette - I thought we were past tobacco by now, not promoting to young people.

X1X was cheaper than I expected. Hope it is a success for MS and xbox fans.

 

£450 is to much.

Already got an xbox one that does what I need.Don't have a 4k tv so no point.

There were a few games that peaked my interest but I've got into the habit of hardly ever buying games on release now as the price drops so quickly.

Probably got more excited about original xbox games being playable.

It will support external drives.They did mention it will support the same stuff as the other xbox ones

 

Yes it has. After the last wonderful forum update most of the regulars left. (I can't say I blame them)

It's nice to see some of them again when they show up. I expect I'll get an Xbox One X but can't imagine why anyone who bought an Xbox One S would.

I kinda feel like the X could be held back since all the games for it are suppose to also work on the older versions of the One? That kinda makes the only reason to have one is a 4k thing, although I usually suck at wording things correctly so I'm
not sure if that makes sense to anyone but me. lol

 

I think there will be a lot who feel this way. I kinda feel like the only reason to have one is for the 4k. The older versions of the Ones will still play the games... or so they say.

But then I'm not one of those screaming "we need more power!". lol My two Ones have performed fine for me.

 

Day 1 for me. I already have it preordered. I'm super stoked.

None of the games wowed me besides Ashen and Anthem, but I loved the look of the console. I'm getting a new 4K tv shortly before the console comes out so that's awesome too.

I still have FFXV and Resi 7 downloaded and haven't played them yet. They are getting the 4K upgrade treatment so I will wait to play them.

 

I wonder if there's an achievement? Hmmm...

 

Yes, I stopped after this update which I'm still not a fan of. Very painful from my phone which is what I always use. I can agree if I had just bought an S I would not be getting it Day one but even for those without a 4k Tv you will get some nice supersampling
and 4k textures and more effects. The S will still deliver the HDR content upscaled on a 1080p screen to deliver good visuals also. I don't see it being held back. You will just get game visuals like you are now, and if you are fine with that (which most
are) it's good for everyone. For me I always thought 360 was too long a gen and to get a new console after 4 years with all my game still working is great.
